At the Multi-Crop Transformation Lab we’ve conducted almost 250 experiments over 25 crops and 39 genotypes collaborated with approximately 30 principal investigators.
Ongoing projects in the lab include sorghum. Cotton, sugarcane, coffee, tobacco, wheat, potatoes, onions, rice, peanuts, melons, spinach, tomatoes, and roses.

Melons, among the earliest plants to be domesticated in both the Old and New Worlds, are a food rich in vitamins and minerals.
Rice
Rice is the most widely consumed staple food for a large part of the world’s human population, with a worldwide annual production above the 700 tons.
Sugarcane
Sugarcane’s fructose is used as raw material in the food industry, and also fermented to produce ethanol, with a worldwide annual production close to the 2 billions tons.
